Fake News Website Goes Offline, Making Real Headline
News for the First Time

The fake news website, was taken offline earlier this week over copyright infringement concerns and two additional counts of illegalities from a similarly "real news" website/television station (which cannot be named here, for obvious reasons). The real news site that the fake news site intended to mock, is now suing for the use of stolen trademarks. The lawsuit will probably run until the end of the year, as this company does not plan to go down quietly.

"They were using real reporters and then in the 'About Us' section writing up these reporters obituaries. It was sick. I saw my name there and almost had a real heart attack," Real live renowned reporter K**is Ma*k***ous tells. Ironically, her fake obituary revealed a death by heart attack from eating McDonalds three times a day for one month.

"It's a controversy we don't understand," explains Tamanda Aikerone, one of the founders of <www.areyouforreal.com>. "We included a disclaimer on every page. People should know we weren't for real with some of the articles we were writing. Come on. How many people do you think would believe that the Olsen twins were really one person and that the whole twin thing was a propagated entertainment or cloning scam? Or that a NHL hockey player ate a sportscaster on live television and got away with it?"
